A substantial team from our church participates in the annual Tower Climb to benefit the Alberta Wilderness Association.
Bow Riverkeeper
Bow Riverkeeper is a not-for-profit society with a mission to protect and restore the Bow River watershed. Our church supports this society.
Calgary Raging Grannies
One of more than sixty world-wide Raging Granny groups, the Calgary Raging Grannies has a significant proportion of members from our church.
Inn from the Cold Society
Church members work the morning clean-up shift at the Knox United Church every two weeks. In June 2006, the Unitarian Church of Calgary in partnership with Temple B'nai Tikvah sponsored a performance of The Wedding Bard to benefit the Inn from the Cold Society.
Vocal Latitudes
The church sponsors the Vocal Latitudes world music choir, which rehearses in Panabaker Hall from 7:30 to 9:30 every Tuesday evening.
Wild Rose Sangha
Wild Rose Sangha is a Calgary-based Zen Buddhist meditation community in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. They practice sitting meditation, tea meditation, dharma discussion, and sympathetic joy. The Sangha meets on Monday nights at 7:30 at the Unitarian Church of Calgary, 1703 1st Street, N.W.
